ABOUT US

Who are we? We are Elena and Donato, we got married on 29th of September 2007 and live in a little city near Como (Northern Italy).

We always loved any kind of animal.

Elena's first little friends was red fishes, hamsters, tortoises

.In 1990 Elena had her first swert little dog, a half-breed named SHY because of his character reserved and timid. Shy has left this Earth on june 2007 and became Elena's Guardian Angel.

In 1992 the first black cat arrived at Elena's home and became immediately like a Shy's baby. His name was Socrate but with the time He's been nickanamed "Tino". He's 15 years old and still lives in Milano (Northern Italy), with Elena's parents.

..

In 2005 Elena went to a kennel and brought away with her a little white girl kitten who was 40 day old and not weaned. The owner of the kennel named her "Pesca" (Peach) but Elena renamed her "Pallina" (Little Ball). She's been sick for one month but She had an incredible courage and healed against any vet prevision! Now She's a wonderful, noble Lady Cat who lives with Elena e Donato and all the pets' family.  You can read her story in Italian following this link: http://www.protezioneanimalidilegnano.com/felici.htm.

Rudy is Donato's Maine Coon. Very peaceful but with a really free spirit, He has never been a mate for Pallina. So now He lives with Donato's parents

The least but not the last... Luna, a female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel born on May 2007!

BUT...

Why "ARIELRAGDOLLS"?

Ariele, in "The Tempest" of W. Shakespeare, is the mighty Spirit   imprisoned inside a tree by the  malicious  witch Sycorax.. Prospero, the drama's protagonist, and also the Shakespeare himself's  metaphor, sets Ariel free and the sweet Spirit decides to remain a faithful servant for his savior, until the Wizard tells him that it's time to be again indipendent. Grateful but never slave, Ariel comes back in the Air, in his freedom made of Love and not of  selfishness.

That's why we have chosen the name "ARIELRAGDOLLS" Because a Ragdoll never leaves his owner, because a Ragdoll is never a slave but He/She chooses to love his/her owner and stay with him/her, even if remaining a Free Soul.

WHY DID WE CHOOSE TO BREED RAGDOLLS?

We were looking for a cat that could love us as musc as we would have loved him/her. We studied many kinds of cats and then we found some websites that talked about Ragdolls. We fell in love with this breed and the first cat tha came in our home was Rhiannon... and then, all the others... so, this is our little Cattery!

We can only wish to everybody to have a mate in a Ragdoll. You will never feel lonely: you just will be.... loved!
